March MADNESS

Hello Everyone!

I have returned from the dark corners for my room with NEWS!

The sets and Props for Pirouette (animated short) ARE COMPLETELY FINISHED

HHHHUUUUUUZZZAAAHHHH!

And in a week.

Duh duh Dunn!

I BEGIN SHOOTING!

I’m really happy with the amount of work I was able to complete in 3 weeks. I want to thank Jeremy Fisher for letting me borrow his Jigsaw. O-O I have no idea what I would have done without it.

Here’s the thing going into this I was worried about building my set. I don’t have an entire workshop. I live in a poorly ventilated apartment. BUT I do have friends. Willing friends with the things I don’t have. Including Jeremy and Warren Sheetz (2nd camera for shooting) and the awesome duo of Max Lopez and Sean Malony. They are the proud owners of the animation company Apartment D and they are going to let me use their garage a week from now for the actual shoot.  :D :D :D

Also most importantly Aaron Umetani will be my DP, this I’m really excited about because lighting has (in my opinion) always been the weakest part of my shorts thus far.

This month overall is sort of a blur. The thing is. When you want to make something big/something with weight, not some instagram doodle, you have to dedicate your time to it. The result. Hermit land.

But I did leave my hole as least once a day. My month consisted of millions of trips to Michaels/hobby lobby and Kit Kraft. Twice I was followed by a man in a wheel chair who enjoyed staring at my butt….which was creepy….ANYWAY.

OH! And I was asked if I’m Armenian by an old round man with a bumpy nose. He said he was the brother of Donald Trump. Also he said he was happy I wasn’t black.

O-O RACIST ALERT.  CALLING ADINA “FUCK YOU” FACE. In 3. 2. 1.

And he left.

BACK TO TOPIC.

I also listened to a lot of Podcasts. (pro tip they make you feel like less of a Hermit) And took walks.

WOO!

April. I shoot this movie film. Then I finish it. Then all can see.

Stay tuned!
